At the Legal Counsel Conference each year, one of the most popular sessions is “Roll Call” during which each attendee has the opportunity to share recent events from their state. There are always several interesting enforcement issues being dealt with among the different jurisdictions. Although many boards deal with similar enforcement issues, the disciplinary authority varies among boards. By sharing enforcement “stories”, each board may discover a new approach to particular violations or find a new enforcement procedure without having to start from scratch.
