NASHVILLE, TN (October 9, 2009) — David A. Costello, CPA, President of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA), and Thomas J. Sadler, CPA, Chair of NASBA, have been named as two of the “Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting” by Accounting Today Magazine.

In addition to serving as President & CEO of NASBA since 1994, Costello is also the President and CEO of NASBA’s Center for the Public Trust – established in 2004 to address the issue of ethics and ethical behavior in business, education, public policy and society, while promoting a positive perspective on activities within the business and accounting communities.

Sadler, a resident of Gig Harbor, Washington, is a 40-year veteran of the accounting profession. During his term as NASBA Chair, peer review transparency, enforcement practices and strengthening international accountancy regulation have been at the forefront of his core leadership initiatives.
