CPEtracking Program for the Accountancy Board of Ohio
The Accountancy Board of Ohio in cooperation with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) is now offering a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Tracking Tool for all active Ohio CPAs. This tool is available for all active licensee’s use at no charge and allows tracking and storage of CPE records in one location.
Licensees will receive an e-mail notification with their sign-on credentials in May 2015.
In addition to having access to the tool throughout the year, if ever selected for an audit, licensees will be required to use this tool to submit their CPE records and documentation to the Board. Use of this tracking service does not reflect a final determination of continuing professional education (CPE) compliance. The Accountancy Board of Ohio has the final authority on the acceptance of individual courses and documentation for CPE credit.
While CPE records and documentation can be entered and stored within the tool, attaching the documentation (Certificates of Completion, etc.) at the same time as CPE credits are entered is not a requirement. Licensees may save their records and log in multiple times as needed.
However, if a licensee is selected by the Board for a CPE audit, all CPE records submitted must have supporting documentation attached. Therefore, it is recommended that CPE records and documentation be entered at the same time. Certificates of Completion should be available in an electronic format such as PDF or JPEG files. Paper documents will need to be scanned in advance of entering credit information so they can be attached to the CPE credit records.
