“Academicians and Post Doctoral Researchers encouraged to NASHVILLE, Tenn., January 5, 2011 – The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) is pleased to announce the launch of its newly established Accounting Education Research Grants Program. This program seeks to advance research on educational issues impacting Certified Public Accountants (CPA), the public accounting profession and state boards’ charge to protect the public. NASBA will fund and award grants totaling up to $25,000 for one-year research projects. A maximum of 3 research grants will be awarded annually. Faculty and postdoctoral researchers at institutions of higher learning are encouraged to apply. “NASBA is excited to work with the academic community to be an information resource for CPAs, educators, regulators and CPA candidates through this new program,” said Alfonzo Alexander, NASBA Chief Relationship Officer.
