Enforcement NewsletterMay 2013There are now 43 Boards of Accountancy participating on the ALD and 38 on CPAverify. Recent additions to both the ALD and CPAverify include Guam and District of Columbia. The 43 accountancy boards participating in the ALD represent 83% of the world’s CPA population (about 604,910 licensees). On CPAverify, the 38 participating boards make up about 79% of regulated CPAs (about 576,117 licensees). As we shared in November’s edition of the ALD Newsletter, we identified the "ALD Big Four" as the top four data components for boards of accountancy to provide. The Big Four are (1) hashing, (2) disciplinary data, (3) firm data, and (4) automated feeds. Montana and Kansas are the most recent additions to the Big Four list. Minnesota added a flag for disciplinary and Ohio added embellished statuses to their existing datasets. Maryland is working on adding disciplinary data to their feed.
