NASBA hosted two ALD training webinars for state board executive directors and staff during the month of September. The webinars were held at the request of the ALD Strike Force Committee and were designed to engage more use and adoption of the Accountancy Licensee Database among state boards. The training was open to all state boards, not just states participating in the ALD.
Approximately 50 EDs and state board staff joined the call for the first webinar and almost 30 people participated in the second webinar. Both training webinars offered a guided tour of the ALD system, demonstrations of how to use the search feature along with tips and tricks for performing effective searches as well as an overview of how and when to best use the ALD to assist with daily activities at state boards.
All attendees were entered for a prize drawing of a $50 Amazon gift certificate and a box of popular Nashville candies, Goo Goo Clusters. The winner of the drawing was Cheryl Sexton from the Washington State Board of Accountancy.
