How many days does the process take? The process takes approximately 5 business days to determine eligibility once your professional organization submits the appropriate documents on your behalf. How do I receive my NTS?Once your eligibility is confirmed by the IQEX coordinator your CPA Portal will indicate eligible and allow you to apply for the notice to schedule (NTS). Your NTS will be available in your CPA Portal account within 24 – 48 hours after payment. Where do I submit my Letter of Good Standing (LOGS)?You will not submit your LOGS, your MRA Affiliate organization will submit your letter of good standing to [email protected] on your behalf. Do I pay the evaluation application fee again or can I only pay the Exam fee?If you did not pass the IQEX exam (REG section) you will be able to reapply and take the IQEX again. You must pay the full IQEX fee again, which includes the $255 evaluation eligibility application fee and the $630 IQEX Exam fee. During the CPA Portal application process, my institution is not listed, what should I do?You should select OTHER as your institution since only U.S institutions are indicated as options and your education history is not a requirement to take the IQEX. I am a Re-examination candidate. Am I required to submit a Letter of Good Standing?Yes. All candidates are required to submit a Letter of Good Standing to NASBA each time they apply. An original copy of the letter is required to be sent directly to NASBA from the Institute. I have read the Candidate Guide but I still do not know if I meet the qualifications. Please contact your professional credential institute to verify your eligibility. Since the IQEX is now just the Regulation section of the Uniform CPA Examination, can I apply for the Uniform CPA Examination and just take Regulation instead of applying for the IQEX?No. Candidates who apply for the Uniform CPA Examination must pass all four sections of the examination in order to qualify for licensure. These candidates must also apply for the examination through a specific jurisdiction and must meet that jurisdiction’s education requirements. What if a conflict arises after I have scheduled an appointment to take the examination? You may cancel or reschedule your appointment by contacting Prometric. There is no fee for canceling or rescheduling an appointment at least 30 days in advance. If you cancel or reschedule between five and 30 days before your appointment, you must pay a fee directly to Prometric. If you reschedule within five days of your appointment, you will be required to pay the full Prometric testing fee for the section you are rescheduling. See the Candidate Guide for additional information regarding these fees. You cannot make any changes to your appointment less than 24 hours in advance. You will have to contact the Board/agency to which you applied originally to register again. Are special accommodations available for IQEX?In accordance with the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act, examination administration accommodations are available, should you qualify. Please download the IQEX Testing Accommodations Request Form for more information. |
