Today’s CPA: Joe Walker, CPA

NASBA is excited to feature an interview with Joe Walker, CPA, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at LifeWay Christian Resources. LifeWay is one of the world’s largest providers of Christian resources. The company owns and operates more than 170 LifeWay Christian Stores across the nation, publishes books and the widely-respected Christian Standard Bible translation and, according to the nonprofit, reinvests income above operating expenses in mission work and other ministries around the world.

Prior to Joe’s current position, he served as corporate controller for over a decade. Throughout his time in LifeWay, which began in 1986, he has served in many different financial positions. Today, Joe’s position includes distribution, legal and investment services, overseeing facility management services and the corporate finance department. When he is not hard at work, Joe enjoys volunteering at his church in Hendersonville, TN, and spending time with his family.
