SHARE: Author: Dina Barabash, Content Development and Web Specialist, NASBA NASBA understands the road to becoming a certified public accountant (CPA) is not an easy one. To help make the journey a bit smoother, it recently rolled out its CPA Exam Candidates Forum, a Facebook Group that provides a platform for CPA Exam candidates to connect, share advice, tips and tricks, ask questions and have fun while they prepare to become CPAs. Although there are currently several candidate forums online, many of them are created by third party sources who are not affiliated with any of the three Uniform CPA Exam partners – NASBA, AICPA or Prometric. Today, candidates can use the forum to connect with peers around the world and NASBA when needed, allowing candidates to receive important information and share best practices in an efficient and timely manner. In fact, many candidates report that they live in remote areas that do not afford them study groups or collaborative opportunities. Therefore, meeting spaces, like the forum, give candidates the aide they may not otherwise receive online or in person. So, are you ready to join the conversation? If you are a CPA Exam candidate with a Facebook profile, simply head over to https://www.facebook.com/groups/cpaexamforum/ and ask to join! While your request is pending, you will be asked the following questions: 1. Are you a CPA Exam candidate? Currently, the forum has members from all over the world who are actively studying, testing and pursuing their dreams of becoming CPAs. If you too are a CPA candidate, be sure to connect with your community in NASBA’s CPA Exam Candidates Forum! |
