NASBA is excited to feature an interview with Chandra Vasser, CPA, now the former Finance Director at Nissan North America, Inc. Nissan is made up of a diverse group of people, that together, build cars and trucks with the power to change both the way consumers view the world and the way they move in it.

Chandra earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Tennessee State University and an MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management. Today, she has over 21 years of experience and demonstrated expertise in, but not limited to, financial planning and analysis, business case analysis, profit management, strategic sourcing and procurement and performance measurement. Throughout her career, she has successfully led monthly profit closes, identified risks and opportunities, advised of strategies and options to improve financial and operating performance, and much more. In 2014, she became the first African-American female appointed to an executive level position as director of administration and service and support purchasing at Nissan.
