Searching for disciplinary, non-compliance, and enforcement cases within the ALD just got a whole lot easier. In the past, there was no easy way to search generally for records with disciplinary history without searching for a specific person or sifting through lists of search results. You could search for licensees with a particular status within a jurisdiction by using the state drop down menu and the status drop down menu to find licensees who had been disciplined, but only IF you knew exactly what status was applicable to the state. With so many varying status codes among State Boards, that wasn’t very intuitive either.
Now, thanks to a new search feature just added to the ALD, you can easily query a general list of all individuals within a given state or even across the country who have any indication of past enforcement, non-compliance, or disciplinary action. Just leave the name and license number fields blank and select a particular state or you can leave state unselected. Then, check the new box and click search. The search results will list all licensee records with any indication of enforcement, non-compliance or disciplinary history, which includes all records that have either a) been flagged by their respective Boards as having disciplinary history, b) actually include disciplinary details or c) have a status that triggers a disciplinary email alert, such as revoked, suspended or revocation.
