NASBA is in the process of adding a powerful new feature to the Accountancy Licensee Database (ALD). Within the next month, when a CPA’s license is revoked for disciplinary reasons in one participating state, the ALD system will push out an email alert to every other state where the licensee holds a license to let other state boards know there has been action taken against the licensee in another state.
This great new benefit of the ALD will only be available among participating ALD states that are using the “hashed” unique identifier mechanism used to link all licensee records from state-to-state. We encourage any state board that isn’t currently using the “hashed” unique identifier mechanism to contact us for assistance to make sure your state can take advantage of this new feature.
NASBA is excited to offer this functionality for state boards as the natural next step in fully utilizing a national database of licensed CPAs and is looking forward to adding the remaining state boards so that the true power of the database can be available to all of our member boards.
