ATTN. CANDIDATES: Having Trouble Logging into Your CPA Portal Account?

When using the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), be sure to check the app where your authentication code was originally configured.

Many candidates automatically look for a code in Google Authenticator, but during setup your MFA code may have been saved to a different authenticator app or password manager on your phone.

Check the following locations if you do not see your code:

  • Your phone’s default password manager
  • Apple Passwords (iPhone)
  • Google Password Manager (Android)
  • Microsoft Authenticator
  • Any other authenticator application you selected during MFA setup

If you do not have Google Authenticator installed, your code is likely stored in a different application on your device.

Before contacting support, please review the authentication and password applications on your phone to locate your MFA code.

Android Tip: If you’re unsure where your MFA code is stored, open Settings and review your Password Manager, Passwords & Accounts, or Default Apps settings to identify the password or authentication app configured on your device.

Quick Reminder: If you get an invalid code error, re-open your MFA Application for the updated code, as the MFA Code refreshes every 30 seconds.
