OKTA Series

As part of an important security enhancement initiative, NASBA is updating its multi-factor authentication (MFA) process to better protect your accounts and information.

NASBA is transitioning away from SMS text messages and phone call one-time passcodes (OTP) as an MFA option, in favor of more secure authentication methods.

If you have not done so already, setting up a new MFA method will be required starting Wednesday, June 17 at 10:00 a.m. Central. Starting Thursday, June 17, 2026:

  • Okta Verify will be the required MFA platform.
  • Google Authenticator will also be available as an alternative MFA option.
  • SMS and phone call authentication methods will be disabled.

When you log in to your CPA Portal Candidate accounts, please enroll in Okta Verify or Google Authenticator.
