2025 National Registry Summit Recap

This year, the National Registry Summit took place in Anaheim, CA, from September 16-17. Attendees gathered from across the country to network and hear from speakers on topics surrounding leadership, Continued Professional Education (CPE), program development, and more.
Day one of the conference featured a keynote presentation from Derek ‘DY’ Young. DY’s keynote provided attendees with insights on the conference theme, ‘Leading in a Rapidly Changing World.’ Attendees also sat in on a session discussing ‘CPE Rules from a Legal Perspective,’ with NASBA Deputy Chief Legal Officer Elizabeth Wolfe, Esq., ‘7 Principles for Elevating Your Program,’ with NASBA National Registry Account Managers Thaddaeus Douglas and Karen Mourcy, and ‘Registry Audit Process,’ with NASBA National Registry Compliance Auditor Lindsay Lane. Exhibitor time and breakout sessions were also scheduled for attendees.
Breakout session one included Founder and CEO of JoshCavalier.ai Josh Cavalier presenting ‘From Prompts to Agents: Refining Learning Experience Creation,’ which discussed how to experiment and implement artificial intelligence (AI) powered learning ecosystems. Breakout session two covered ‘Demystifying CPE Delivery Methods: QAS™, Nano & Blended,’ with NASBA National Registry Senior Manger Ashlee Baker and Karen Mourcy. The third and final breakout session discussed ‘Must-Dos and Pro Moves for New CPE Sponsors,” with Thaddaeus Douglas and NASBA National Registry Associate Director Erin Scruggs.
The second day of the conference featured a keynote presentation from Josh Cavalier on ‘Accounting Education in the Age of AI.’ Attendees participated in more exhibitor time and then sat in on the announcement of the exposure draft for the proposed revisions to the Statement on Standards for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Programs (Standards). National Registry Leadership then closed the conference by holding and Q&A segment for attendees.
