Registration Cancellation Policy

Registration cancellation accepted through January 30, 2023 and is subject to a $100.00 cancellation fee.  Requests for registration refunds will not be granted if received after January 30.

Transportation

Airport: Tucson International Airport (TUS) (12.3 miles)

Taxi: Although Arizona does not regulate rates, under the contracts with the TAA, VIP Taxi and Yellow Cab rates are set at $5.50 to start and $2.25 per mile with a $12.00 minimum fare. There can also be a charge for traffic delays of up to $22.00 per hour. There are no additional charges for up to three passengers or normal baggage.

To reach the cab stand, exit Baggage Claim on the lower level and cross the first two roadways. Taxis should be to your left on the second island.

Departing passengers are dropped off by taxis at TUS along the curb in front of the terminal near their airline.

Uber/Lyft: one way fare estimate – $50

Arriving passengers who have requested a ride through either the Lyft or Uber app meet their driver and car in front of the main terminal. Follow the signs for ground transportation or ‘App Rides’. Exit baggage claim toward the main parking lot and cross the first roadway. Your driver will arrive to your left on the first island. Passengers should be aware cars and drivers do not wait at the pick-up location but will arrive when requested through the mobile app.

Departing passengers are dropped off by Lyft and Uber along the curb in front of the TUS terminal near their departing airline.

Lyft and Uber are the rideshare services authorized to operate at TUS.

Airport: Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (PHX) (114 miles)

Taxi: Rates remain the same regardless of company, number of passengers and number of bags. The first mile is $5. Each additional mile is $2.30. Each hour of a traffic delay is $23. The minimum fare is $15.

Uber/Lyft: one way fare estimate – $130

Terminal pick-up locations for ride share service providers are as follows:

  • Terminal 3: South outer curb, west end between doors #2 and #4
  • Terminal 4: Level 1, north outer curb, far west end outside door #1
  • Terminal 4: Level 1, south outer curb east end outside door #6 or door #8

Travel Tip: Customers should arrange their ride once they have all of their bags and are ready to exit the terminal.

Fun Fact about Tucson

If you’re a stargazer, Tucson is one of the best spots in the U.S. for astronomy. In 1972, Pima County enacted a “dark sky” code to regulate the brightness and number of outdoor bulbs. Now Tucson suffers from far less light pollution than most cities do, allowing stars and planets to shine through the darkness.

Denim & Gems Closing Celebration

What better way to celebrate the conclusion of two successful conferences! Put on your favorite dancing boots, your dressiest jeans and your finest gems for this fun twist on “Denim and Diamonds”. Dance the night away with all your NASBA peers and friends.

Dress Code

For men, dark jeans or trousers, paired with a denim shirt or jacket and some smart shoes or boots. Add a touch of class with a diamond ring or cufflinks.

For women, Denim skirt or jeans with a sparkly top. Accessorize with some glitzy jewelry, boots, or heels.
