If you are a CPA with an active license from a non-substantially equivalent state and need your individual CPA qualifications evaluated, you may submit an application to CredentialNet, a service of NQAS. The Substantial Equivalency Evaluation report is accepted as verification in most states.
How To Apply
Individual Substantial Equivalency Evaluation Requirements
- Good Character – Applicants must not have a history of dishonest or felonious acts.
- Education – Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree. Starting January 1, 2012 applicants must have 150 hours of education.
- Examination – Applicants must have passed all sections of the Uniform CPA Examination.
- Experience – Applicants must have one year of experience providing any type of service or advice using accounting, attest, compilation, management advisory, financial advisory, tax or consulting skills.
