There are more than 650,000 CPAs and more than 47,000 CPA firms. Only a small percentage of these individuals/firms work with public companies, so NASBA is also committed to promoting cross-border cooperation of agencies who regulate professional accountants performing audits of private companies. This has proven to be an important issue within the international community. NASBA currently hosts the International Forum and other events centered around fostering communication internationally.

International Forum

The Forum, an event held annually since 2007, is designed to provide the global financial regulatory community with an event that continues the enhancement of regulatory activities and emerging issues. In this setting, participants work together to strengthen protection of the global public interest.
