The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) is excited to announce that participation in the Accountancy Licensee Database (ALD) and CPAverify.org has now reached 54 Boards of Accountancy. This milestone was reached by the Utah Board of Accountancy, a part of the state’s Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing, after implementation of the Board’s dataset into the ALD. With this new addition, NASBA is one state away from growing this database to 100 percent participation by the 55 accounting jurisdictions.

Launched in 2005, the ALD is a central repository of current CPA licensee and CPA firm information created to assist Boards of Accountancy with regulatory efforts. CPAverify.org is the public facing version of that database and provides the public free access to a CPA’s license status.

A special thank you to the many dedicated board members, executive directors, legal counsel, IT personnel and other board staff who have contributed to this achievement.
