ALL research toolToday’s world of Certified Public Accounting is continuously impacted by ever-changing Accountancy Board laws and rules. Although 150 hours for licensure and individual mobility are now the norm, firm mobility is on the horizon. NASBA responds to these and other emerging accounting trends by enhancing the content and options available within the ALL resource to help meet the needs of Boards of Accountancy, Colleges/Universities, CPA Firms and Individuals. Most recently, additions have been made to the ALL Research Tool within the Accountancy Licensing Library that include information relating to peer review as well as expanding the educational and general requirements for applying for the CPA exam and license in every state.

  • Using the ALL Research Tool, users can now run reports on the level of service that triggers the peer review requirement for firms in all applicable states, whether it’s Compilations for Management Use Only, Compilation Services, Review Services or Audit Services.
  • Users can also now see a more broken down report of accounting and business education requirements for both the exam and licensure for all Boards thanks to a new category schema that specifies either less than, at least and more than 24 hours in accounting and business.
  • More clarification has also been added about Board residency requirements. Reports using the ALL Research Tool can now indicate more specifically how residency requirements may be satisfied, whether by physical residency, place of business or employment in the state.

Based on Accountancy Board and client feedback, NASBA continually evaluates the relevancy of frequently requested information and makes determinations for additions to the ALL Research Tool. The content contained in ALL is kept current using a rigorous maintenance process, so users can receive real-time information and reports. Further updates to the Research Tool are in the works and coming soon!

Any Executive Directors or Board Staff not familiar with ALL may reach out to Leona Johnson at [email protected] for more information and to request a complimentary account. ALL is a free resource to Boards of Accountancy.
