Enforcement NewsletterAugust 2013There are now 44 Boards of Accountancy participating on the ALD and 40 on CPAverify. The most recent addition to the ALD is Massachusetts. The 44 accountancy boards participating in the ALD represent 85% of the world’s CPA. Arizona and Massachusetts are the two most recent additions to CPAverify. On CPAverify, the 40 participating boards make up approximately 83% of regulated CPAs. Several Boards have kicked off their ALD implementations this quarter, including Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Oregon. Thanks to those EDs and IT teams! Additionally, a big "Thank you" goes out to those Board staffers and Executive Directors taking time to complete the indispensable Data Integrity Review this year: AK, AR, IL, NC, NV, SC, TN, TX, VA, and WA. This vital process ensures that the data within the ALD is accurate and clear for all users, from your fellow Boards and from the Public alike. Your Board’s dataset only needs to be reviewed in depth once per year, as we have daily and weekly reviews in place, as well. The deep dive each year gives us a chance to close any outstanding open items and reconnect about your Board’s goals for the ALD.
