CPEtracking Program for the North Carolina State Board of Certified Public Accountant Examiners
The North Carolina State Board of Certified Public Accountant Examiners (“Board”), working with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (“NASBA”), is offering North Carolina licensees who are selected for audit a tool for recording and submitting their earned CPE credits. The service is open to all North Carolina licensees selected for audit. All licensees selected for audit will receive a letter that includes their sign-in information to use this service.
The Board will begin offering this tool in time for the 2014 audit period in the Fall.
Those licensees selected for CPE audit can submit earned CPE records using the CPEtracking platform, including supporting documentation for the reporting period being audited. They must have Certificates of Completion in an electronic format such as PDF or JPEG files. Paper documents will need to be scanned in advance of entering credit information so they can be attached to the CPE credit records in their accounts.
Once the licensee submits their CPE information for the audit, the Board staff will review all submitted supporting documentation to assure that it corresponds with the CPE course and credit information supplied by the licensees and that it adheres to the North Carolina Board’s policies for acceptable supporting documentation.
