The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy’s International Forum is designed to provide the global financial regulatory community with an event that continues the enhancement of regulatory activities and emerging issues.

In this setting, participants work together on common issues to strengthen protection of the global public interest. In addition to NASBA’s foundational efforts, this year’s forum will also include discussions and presentations in the following, specific categories:

Continuing to Strengthen Audit Quality – As the debate continues, many are still seeking additional guidance;

The Jury is Still Out on Legal Liability – Discuss and debate the trends in independent auditor liability;

Professional Ethics – Explore how ethical behavior, learned and modeled, can be internationally consistent in a world with many cultures and belief systems;

Emerging from the Financial Crisis – Identify how auditors and others are still dealing with this worldwide issue; and

Innovation in the Delivery and Measurement of Continuing Professional Development – Learn what the future holds for continuing education.

The forum takes place July 25-26 in Vancouver, B.C.
